Downie's third solo exhibition at the gallery focusses on the artist's printmaking. Featuring new as well as unseen older works from the artist's archive, the exhibition covers Downie's trademark industrial landscapes as well as more intimate nature studies.
The exhibition will see the exclusive launch of Conversations , a steelplate etching and drypoint in an edition of 30. The image first appeared in the 2006 exhibition at the gallery. We have recently received delivery of over 400 classical, jazz, folk and world music cds including many titles we have not stocked before. In classical we have new titles from Harmonia Mundi and a special offer on Regis recordings - great value at £4.99 - of 5 for £20. New additions to folk include recordings by Leadbelly, Woodie Guthrie and Clannad. In World music we have a strong representation of fantastic African rhythms and in particular recommend Tres Tres Fort by Staff Benda Billi from the Congo.
