Our new branch of Homer in Edinburgh opened at 8 Howe Street EH3 6TD, on Thursday 5th May to a great response. All the arrangements went pretty well to plan and then on opening day (and since) numbers of customers and sales have passed our expectations - thank you all for your support. We are open 10am - 5.30pm Mon-at (7pm Thur) and 12-4.30 Sunday.
Now the staff team are settling into the routine of running a shop spread over five rooms, serving customers, unpacking deliveries and getting new stock onto the shelves.

Amazon pays NO tax

Amazon pays NO UK tax on £3.3bn sales - (Guardian 5/4/12). But it takes government money for its new distribution centre and its lorries use the roads. Its employees will use hospitals, schools and public transport. It's time to boycott these giants who wilfully avoid taxes.
Watermill on STV news 6.15 tonight

The Watermill and Aberfeldy Fairtrade are due to be on STV news at about 6.15 tonight (Monday 27th). STV are doing a piece about Fairtrade Fortnight (27 Feb - 11 March) and 10th anniversary of Aberfeldy as Scotland's first Fairtrade town.
