Mark Beaumont talk huge success...

Today's talk by Mark Beaumont, sponsored by The Watermill, was a huge success with over 300 people cramming into the local school hall.
After his talk Mark signed more than 75 copies of his new book 'The Man Who Cycled the Americas' - copies are available from The Watermill. The talk was the culmination of a hugely sucsesful Highland Perthshire Cycle Festival which saw thousands of people and hundreds of bikes in the town's Victoria Park.

Amazon pays NO tax

Amazon pays NO UK tax on £3.3bn sales - (Guardian 5/4/12). But it takes government money for its new distribution centre and its lorries use the roads. Its employees will use hospitals, schools and public transport. It's time to boycott these giants who wilfully avoid taxes.
Watermill on STV news 6.15 tonight

The Watermill and Aberfeldy Fairtrade are due to be on STV news at about 6.15 tonight (Monday 27th). STV are doing a piece about Fairtrade Fortnight (27 Feb - 11 March) and 10th anniversary of Aberfeldy as Scotland's first Fairtrade town.
