Kate Downie's exhibition Printworks brought a crowd to the Watermill this afternoon. The show, which features work from 21 years of the artist's printmaking, looks great in the gallery, and is well worth a look if you didn't make it today.
There are twenty six works in total, spanning many subjects as well as the two decades. From the atmospheric industrial landscapes Downie is so highly regarded for, to finely captured seascapes and the more tender nature studies, the scope of this exhibition is wide.
Recently described as 'one of Scotland's most energising artists' in the Herald, this is Downie's third solo exhibition at the Watermill.

We have recently received delivery of over 400 classical, jazz, folk and world music cds including many titles we have not stocked before. In classical we have new titles from Harmonia Mundi and a special offer on Regis recordings - great value at £4.99 - of 5 for £20. New additions to folk include recordings by Leadbelly, Woodie Guthrie and Clannad. In World music we have a strong representation of fantastic African rhythms and in particular recommend Tres Tres Fort by Staff Benda Billi from the Congo.
