Ruth tells us why we should read 'This Party's Got To Stop' by Rupert Thomson...![]()
This beautifully written memoir deals with the deaths of both the author's parents. Though decades apart, the events are captured in painstaking detail, through the eyes of a child, a young adult, and then reflected on from more of a distance. As life moves on, each of the three brothers deals in different ways with their loss.
This book will make you laugh out loud, it will shock you, it will confirm the disbelief felt at times of loss and above all, it proves that every familiy is as dysfunctional as the next!
An excellent read.
