Winter in The Birks o' Aberfeldy

December 26th - The Watermill is closed again today (we re-open on 27th). A bit warmer today with the temperature reaching a balmy minus 3 degrees. A shorter walk today into the Birks o' Aberfeldy, the stunning woodland gorge walk that starts from Aberfeldy town centre. The burn is iced right across in places and there are icicles over a metre long hanging from rocks. The Falls of Moness at the top of the walk are a stunning mixture of water and ice.

Amazon pays NO tax

Amazon pays NO UK tax on £3.3bn sales - (Guardian 5/4/12). But it takes government money for its new distribution centre and its lorries use the roads. Its employees will use hospitals, schools and public transport. It's time to boycott these giants who wilfully avoid taxes.
Watermill on STV news 6.15 tonight

The Watermill and Aberfeldy Fairtrade are due to be on STV news at about 6.15 tonight (Monday 27th). STV are doing a piece about Fairtrade Fortnight (27 Feb - 11 March) and 10th anniversary of Aberfeldy as Scotland's first Fairtrade town.
