Zanna Wilson: Highlands & Islands

The Watermill will be showing Wilson’s sensitive and beautifully executed paintings of Scotland’s landscape.
The Watermill Gallery can be found on the top floor amongst the rafters and the old machinery: the perfect backdrop for our stunning collection of prints and a rolling programme of contemporary art exhibitions, detailed on the right of this page.
The gallery is also home to an ever changing collection of prints. If we have another exhibition on, these may not be on display so please ask if there is a particular piece or artist you wold like to see. Our collection features familiar names in modern art from Victor Pasmore to Gerald Laing, as well as excellent examples of Optical Art from the father of the movement, Victor Vasarely. We have a collection of Urban Art, alongside work from Hockney, Miro, Riley and Hayter which is predominantly abstract. We can be reached by a single flight of stairs from the main bookshop though if this is any problem, please ask, as we will be happy to bring works down for you to view.
As members of the Own Art scheme we can help you with an application to borrow up to £2000 towards the cost of a piece of art, which can then be paid back interest free over 10 months.
